Sports Bucket List

Five I Can Do:

1. Cover one of the top beats for the Daily Collegian in the upcoming seasons. I have continued to work my way up over the last two years and I feel like this is my time to really step up and show what I can do.

2. Get an internship at a well-respected newspaper to hone my skills in sports writing.

3. Go see a Bruins game at the TD Garden. I have seen every other one of my favorite teams play, but have yet to see the Bruins play in person.

4. Go to MLB baseball game at a stadium other than Fenway. Being a Red Sox fan, Fenway Park has always been my haven for watching baseball games, but I have never gone to another ballpark. It would be really cool to go out and see other ball parks.

5. Visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. Growing up baseball was always my favorite sport, so going to see history and the best players to have ever played would be a cool experience.

Five Pie-In-The-Sky:

1. Play Larry Bird one on one in basketball in his prime (and promptly get schooled from start to finish). It would be the coolest thing to be able to just be on the same court as a legend like Larry Bird, so playing basketball with him would have been a dream.

2. Go to all 30 MLB baseball parks. This one isn't impossible, but will be incredibly hard to do in the next couple years. Just seeing the atmosphere of all these parks would be an amazing experience.

3.  Being able to watch Ted Williams play baseball. Obviously, I wasn't alive until many decades after Williams retired, but being able to see the greatest Red Sox of all time play baseball would have been a the coolest thing if I was alive at that time.

4. Have a beer with Rob Gronkowski. Gronk knows how to have a good time, but other than that he also seems to have a great head on his shoulders and has handled fame very well. I would love to pick his brain on how he has handled life in the NFL. Hopefully one day, I have the opportunity to interview him, but that would most likely be years down the line.

5. Being able to interview legends of the MLB like Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Babe Ruth (if he was still alive), Ken Griffey Jr, etc. Having the opportunity to interview a legend would be such an honor and I can surely say that would be on my bucket list.
